No matter what you fancy for your meal, you’re sure to discover something you love in the Colonial Room. We serve classics from the 1960's, popular contemporary dishes (Citrus Crusted Chilean Sea Bass), casual fare (flatbreads and burgers), and vegetarian/vegan offerings (Portabella Burger).
An extensive wine list, classic cocktails, and local craft beer round out our selections, creating a memorable dining experience.
The Drake Afternoon Tea
Guests with an appetite for traditional British tea flock to the Colonial Room, where they enjoy an assortment of pastries, fruit bread, scones, and assorted finger sandwiches with their tea.
SENIOR 3 Course Dinner MENU
The Colonial Room at the Drake Oak Brook introduces a special three course Senior Menu available Monday - Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. for guests ages 65 and older. The three-course menu is $35 and choose from six delicious entrees and special menu items including our famous Bookbinder soup, Bacon wrapped Meat loaf and Crème Brulee to name a few.

$1,863 Bookbinder Soup Experience
The Drake Oak Brook introduces a luxurious soup inspired by a recipe from the 1800s. Guests can savor a $1,863 rendition of Bookbinder soup, a seafood bisque originally crafted with snapping turtles in 1863 by Samuel Bookbinder. The Drake's adaptation features red snapper from the Gulf of Mexico, Ossetra caviar, and Louis XIII Cognac replacing the traditional dry sherry. The experience includes a snifter of the premium spirit, along with a personalized cooking lesson from Executive Chef Ezequiel Dominguez on preparing the soup.
